Wheelwright (1815-1865), English naturalist and hunter, who travelled and even settled in Sweden, in the province of Värmland, where he was active as a hunter and dealer in natural-history objects. The book is divided into five chapters, of which the first two contains a general account of the country, the third deals with agriculture, the fourth is devoted to field sports and fishing; the last chapter is called ''A List of Every Animal Found in Scandinavia, Finland, and Denmark, Scientifically Arranged with a Short Description of Each'' and contains also descriptions of birds of Greenland and Spitzbergen.
