A GUITAR, motif from the first album "Europe", Special Edition produced for Europe 30th Anniversary, airbrushed by Lazy Joe, Gibson/Epiphone (Studio Les Paul Model), signed by all members of Europe
HISTORY: The album cover for "Europe" (Debut Album 1983) was originally a group shot of the band used in the Nordic countries. The band prefered the japanese version of the cover depicting two statues standing next to an ancient building: the Karlskirche Cathedral in Vienna, Austria, and the angels from the Ponte Sant'Angelo in Rome. The cover also shows the first varation of the now classic Europe logo. It was designed by Teijo Niemistö, brother to Europe's first drummer, Tony Reno.
The motif on the guitar illustrates an adaptation of the japanese album cover with focus on one of the angels, appearing to play guitar.
